Game Nights Call for Snack Nights – Best 5 Tasty And Healthy Bites!

Game nights are not like other nights. There are 3 things people of all age groups bring to game nights – lots of passion, kickass enthusiasm and loads of tasty snacks! While all of us are glued to watching the match on TV, more or else zero attention goes to the bag of tasty chips that we binge on.

But, after all the hullabaloo about the matches are over, do you ever sit back and wonder if those pack of tasty snacks you munched on; are really healthy?!
What looks tasty is not necessarily healthy, there is a huge difference. Using game nights as an excuse to binge on any pack of chip that is available in the market is not the right excuse to make. And, once the game is over and it’s time to get back to your daily routine, but by then, those oily and high-fat chips have done more damage than you can think of.

So, what do you think can be done to enjoy the game while you also be aware of not eating rubbish?

The answer is tasty, healthy and crunchy snacks! Snacks that are low-in-fat, high on nutritional value, without GMO and other harmful preservatives, that are made with handpicked multigrain that not only satisfy your hunger but also helps in maintaining your energy levels.

Take a look at some of the most simple 5 tasty, healthy and crunchy that everyone can enjoy with the game!

#1: Sweet Potato Chips

• Chop sweet potatoes into thin slices
• Add olive oil 4 tsp
• Mix it well
• Add Salt ½ tsp
• Add Pepper ½ tsp
• Thyme 1 tsp
• Mix it up and add it to the sliced sweet potato
• Mix it well
• Place the slices on the baking sheet on the microwave tray
• Bake – 400F/200C – 30 minutes (flip halfway)

CRUNCH IT!

#2: Garlic Parmesan Chickpeas

• Dry rinsed chickpeas on a dry cloth
• Add Olive oil
• 1 clove chopped Garlic
• Herbs
• Parmesan cheese shreds
• Mix it well and spread it on the baking sheet on the microwave tray
• Roast 400F/200C – 30 minutes (stir halfway)

Happy Flavourful munching!

#3: Rosemary Crackers

• Add Almond flour 2 cups in a bowl
• Add Salt 1 tsp
• Add pepper 1/2 tsp
• Add Rosemary 2 tsp
• Mix it well
• Add Olive oil 2 tsp
• Mix it well
• Add Ice water around 3-5 tsp
• Mix it well
• Check the consistency by making a ball
• Once checked, mould it into a round cake
• Place it on the baking sheet and cover another one.
• With the help of a rolling pin, flatten it out
• Cut the mixture into a square shape and make holes on the surface
• Place it on the microwave tray
• Bake 350f (180C) – 15-20 minutes (Flip halfway)

Get it crackin’!

#4: APPLE BITES

• Slice 2 Apples into a round shape
• Place them on the baking paper on the microwave tray
• Sprinkle cinnamon 1 tsp on it
• Bake 350f/180c – 30 minutes (Flip halfway)

Yes, that simple!

#5: ZUCCHINI CARROT FRITTERS

• Add 1 cup of Chickpeas in a bowl and mash it with a fork
• Shred 1 Zucchini
• Shred 1 Carrot
• Place it on a clean cloth and drain out excess water by squeezing it
• After the water is drained, add it to the mashed Chickpeas bowl
• Beat and add two eggs in the mixture
• Add ½ wheat panko
• Add 2 tsp basil
• Add ½ garlic powder
• Add ½ salt
• Add ½ pepper
• Mix it well
• Make flats out of the mixture
• Fry it till golden brown
• Garnish with Greek yoghurt on top
